Buffalo On Tap is back bigger and better this year with two sampling sessions on Saturday, January 17th at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center. Choose to attend from 1PM to 4PM (VIP Hoppy Hour Starts at 12PM) or 6PM to 9PM to sample over 150 releases from some of America’s best craft breweries. Plus hang out in an atmosphere filled with live music, delicious food available for purchase, and great vendors.

Bell's Brewery, Inc. began in 1985 with a quest for better beer and a 15 gallon soup kettle. Since then, they've grown into a regional craft brewery that employs more than 200 people over a 20 state area, in addition to Puerto Rico and Washington DC. The dedication to brewing flavorful, unfiltered, quality craft beers that started in 1985 is still with them today. They currently brew over 20 beers for distribution as well as many other small batch beers. The Blue Point Brewing Company is Long Island’s first currently-operating microbrewery. It was founded in 1998 by two long-time friends, Mark Burford and Pete Cotter. The Brewery has never had so many beers available in so many places. At last count, Brooklyn beers can be enjoyed in 25 states and 20 countries. At Brooklyn Brewery, we're as fond of the seasons of the Northeast as we are of the beers that accompany them.
Back in the 19th Century, Cooperstown was the epicenter of U.S. hop production. Add the local, deep wells of high quality water and you could say this place was made for beer. They built their brewery back in 1997 on 136 acres of land that used to be a hop farm. It was the first farmstead brewery built in the USA in over a hundred years.
Dogfish is known for their Ancient Ales, brewed with the support of molecular archaeologists from the University of Pennsylvania. These beers, with recipes based on residue discovered in ancient tombs include Midas Touch, Chateau Jiahu, Theobroma & more. One of their most well-known lineup of beers is their India Pale Ales (IPAs), which are offered in a few varieties: 60 Minute, 90 Minute, 75 Minute and 120 Minute IPA. Their name of each of these beers refer to the length of the boil time of the wort in which the hops are continuously added. The longer hops are boiled, the more hop isomerization takes place, and the more bitterness is imparted to the beer.
Dos Equis Lager is fresh and crisp, more of a pilsner than a traditional lager; it’s moody cousin, Dos Equis Ambar, is a darker, Vienna-style brew with a big, rich flavor. Dos Equis Amber is a robust, classic Vienna-style lager with a full body.
EBC is considered one of the finest craft brewers in Western New York, and has received no less than three International World Beer Championship Awards. The Ellicottville Brewing Company is the result of the desire to open a family business. Inspiration struck during a ski trip to Vail, where other craft brewers began. There was the realization that Ellicottville, sometimes referred to as "the Aspen of the East", would be the perfect location for a craft brewery & grill. After 10 years of building a successful brewery & restaurant in Ellicottville, the team ventured to open a second location where they could build on their brewing & culinary talents. EBC West opened June 1st, 2005 in the fun-filled college town of Fredonia, home to SUNY Fredonia.

Harpoon Brewery was founded in 1986 in Boston, MA - the first company to obtain a permit to manufacture and sell alcohol in Massachusetts in over 25 years. The brewery is best known for its India Pale Ale and also brews multiple other year-round beers including Dark, UFO Hefeweizen, UFO Raspberry Hefeweizen, UFO White, Leviathan IPA, Rich & Dan's Rye IPA, and Boston Irish Stout.
Hoegaarden is well-known wheat beer brewed in Belgium. Their signature wheat beer was first brewed in 1445 and is spiced with coriander and orange peel. It is unfiltered and therefore has a cloudy appearance. Other beers in the Hoegaarden family include Rosee, Citron, Grand Cru, Julius and Speciale to name a few. Each has their own characteristics and flavor.
Ithaca Beer Co. is a brewery started by one man with an idea. That man is Dan Mitchell and that idea was the Ithaca Beer Co. After years of perfecting our craft, Ithaca Beer is finally getting national attention for brewing good beer and gaining national distinction for their CascaZilla Red Ale, Flower Power IPA and Excelsior Brute.
Kona Brewing Company was started by father and son team Cameron Healy and Spoon Khalsa. The pair had a dream to create fresh, local island brews made with spirit, passion and quality. The Lagunitas Brewing Company was founded in 1993. They are known for iconoclastic interpretations of traditional beer styles, and irreverent descriptive text and stories on their packaging. The company is the fifth top selling craft brewery in the US, as of 2014.
The Lake Placid Pub & Brewery has been brewing award-winning ales and lagers for more than 17 years and has expanded rapidly due to its popularity and quality, earning the respect of the brewing community and national media attention. Over the years they have brewed almost 80 different styles of beer and brew almost 300,000 pints of beer annually.
The Leinenkugel Family Brewery was founded in Chippewa Falls, WI, in May 1867 by Jacob Leinenkugel. Today, the fifth generation of Leinenkugel's continue to brew the same family-inspired recipes. Over the years, the family has grown and so has the brewery, but its history and heritage remain at the forefront.
The first batch of Long Trail Ale rolled off the line in 1989. Andy Pherson, Long Trail's founder, embarked on a journey to brew an affordable, American-made alternative to the pricey German and English exports that filled store shelves. Long Trail Ale slowly weaved its way into the local Green Mountain landscape—becoming as much a Vermont tradition as the famed hiking trail itself.
The Magic Hat Brewery has been putting a performance into every bottle of beer since 1994. Today, the brewery cranks out 400 bottles of beer every minute. Magic Hat brews four year-round beers and several seasonal products and one-off batches.
McKenzie’s Hard Cider was founded in 2011 by Lenny Ciolek in Buffalo, New York. McKenzie’s currently produces 5 different varieties of hard cider; Original, Black Cherry, Green Apple, Seasonal Reserve (cinnamon and nutmeg) and Lazy Lemon (lemonade blend). Its varieties have received several awards including Double Gold Medal for Black Cherry, and Silver Medals for Original and Green Apple at the 2012 New York Wine & Food Classic.
Oskar Blues Brewery began as a restaurant in Lyons, CO in 1997 that started brewing beer in the basement in 1999. Five years later, they became one of the first to sell craft beer in cans, with some crediting Oskar Blues as the creator of the first released canned craft beer in the United States. Today, Oskar Blues is ranked Colorado's second largest craft brewery and the 27th largest in the U.S.
Peak is a craft brewing company, dedicated to making delicious beer using local, artisan and organic ingredients. Peak is contributing to the craft beer movement with contemporary takes on traditional styles of beer, and innovative flavors that have never been brewed before. In 2009, Peak helped Maine farmers cultivate organic commercial hops, the first such harvest since 1880.
RedHook currently produces several styles of beer marketed under distinct brand names, most notably it's Redhook ESB. This nationally-recognized brewery also brews its famed Long Hammer IPA, Pilsner, Mudslinger Brown Ale, Copper Hook and many distinct seasonal offerings.

The Matt Brewery has produced thirty different beers in its Saranac line over the past two decades, which include Adirondack Lager, Black & Tan, Pale Ale, Black Forest, IPA, Lager, and a seasonal Belgian White. Spoetzl Brewery, the oldest independent brewery in Texas, is the maker of Shiner Bock since 1909, and currently produces nine beers year round and four seasonal brews per year. Their brews are sold in 48 states, with a goal to be in all 50 by the end of 2014.
Shipyard Brewing Company has been making award-winning, hand-crafted beer in Maine for 20 years. Now one of the largest craft breweries in the country, Shipyard beers are all about drinkability, consistency and balance. Shmaltz Brewing Company produces HE'BREW Beer and Coney Island Craft Lagers. Founded as “American Jewish Celebration Beer,” the company’s beers now are distributed in over thirty-one U.S. states, Canada, and England. Shmaltz is known for blurring beer styles and using puns, art, history, and pop culture in every aspect of their products.
Shock Top is a traditional Belgian-Style wheat ale. It was originally created in 2006 as a seasonal brew under the name Spring Heat Spiced Wheat. After collecting gold in ’06 and bronze in ’07 in the Belgian White category at the North American Beer Awards, we decided to brew year-round and switch the name to Shock Top. We couldn’t be happier with our decision.

Victory Brewing Company opened its doors to the public on Feb. 15, 1996. In its first year, Victory Brewing Company brewed 1,725 barrels of beer. All Woodchuck ciders are naturally gluten free because the product is made from apples only, without any grains. The company sells several types of award-winning cider under the Woodchuck name, including core flavors, limited releases which are sold at particular times of year, private reserves which are produced in limited batches, and "farmhouse select" which is produced in small batches and sold in 750ml bottles.
